Testimonials
Cosy motel! Good food! It has clean maintained rooms with a fully licensed restaurant with meals that would fill the largest of appetites! Great room/motel considering it’s in a small country town! Will stay again!!!
The reception was friendly and helpful on the phone when we booked the week prior and in person when we arrived. We were visiting friends and wanted an air conditioned and comfortable sleep.
Travel to WeeWaa every 6 weeks for work and the WeeWaa Motel has everything I need. Quiet, clean, air conditioned rooms, plenty of parking, wifi, a bar with cold drinks & great friendly banter and a restaurant that cooks big country style home meals.
THINGS GO SEE AND DO WHILE YOU’RE HERE
Local Activities
Sawn Rocks – Mount Kaputar National Park
Located nearby in Mount Kaputar National Park and just a short walk from the carpark, Sawn Rocks are a must see for anyone visiting our beautiful shire. So named because they resemble human made structures, these majestic rock faces are remnants of Mount Kapurar’s volcanic origins.
Australia Telescope Compact Array
At the Paul Wild Observatory just a short drive from Narrabri proper, you’ll find the Australia Telescope Compact Array. This radio telescope works in conjunction with others around Australia to study the farthest reaches of our universe. Visiting the Array is not only awe inspiring, but also offers a fascinating and enjoyable adventure for the whole family.
Mount Kaputar National Park
It takes about an hour and a half to drive to Mount Kaputar National Park from Wee Waa but it’s every bit worth the effort. After having a nice brekky here, you can make a day of exploring the many stunning lookouts. Go mountain bike riding or simply take a picnic and enjoy being among the native flora and fauna. Another ‘must do’ for anyone visiting our amazing shire.
